Abilities

Incinerate: conal fire breath attack focused on the tank.

Vulcan Buster: AOE Damage and knockback.

Eruption: targeted heavy damage ground aoe. Can spawn under multiple targets. During phase 3, Eruption will spawn under Ifrit during the collapse rotation of Radiant Plume.

Radiant Ploom: ground based heavy AOE damage. Spawns in three patterns: Outside ring, inside ring. Phase 3 adds the entire arena except ontop of Ifrit to the rotation. Ifrit will always cast these in a cycle.

Crismon Cyclone: Spawns one to three copies of Ifrit which will charge across the arena dealing heavy damage to anyone hit. Number of clones spawned is based on Ifrtit's HP.

Hellfire: Ultimate ability dealing heavy AOE damage. Will instantly kill the raid if any Infernal Nails are left alive.

Strategy

Phase 1:

Standard tank and spank while avoiding AOE. During this phase Radiant Plume will only spawn on the inside and outside rings. Crimson Cyclone will spawn one to two copies based on HP. Plumes begin around 75% health remaining. At 75% the pattern is always as follows:

  1. Eruption
  2. Crimson Cyclone
  3. Outside Radiant Plume
  4. Eruption
  5. Inside Radiant Plume

Phase 2:

Triggered at approximately 50% health. Ifrit will spawn four Infernal Nails. These must die before Hellfire is used or the raid will instantly die. It is highly recommended to have a BLM or SMN cast level three meteor on the spikes to drastically lower their health. A level three meteor will bring the spikes down to approximately 20% health.

Phase 3:

After Hellfire all of Ifrit's abilities become greatly enhanced. Radiant Plume now adds the collapse mechanic. The pattern for Radiant Plume in this phase is outside, inside, collapse. During the collapse portion Ifrit will spawn more Eruption spots under raid members than normal. It is very important this is stunned. Ifrit will now also spawn three copies during Crimson Cyclone and spawn multiple Eruptions at random intervals.

The order of abilities during phase 3 is always as follows:

  1. Eruption
  2. Crimson Cyclone
  3. Outside Radiant Plume
  4. Inside Radiant Plume
  5. Eruption
  6. Mass Radiant Plume

Notes:

Ifrit will build a resist to stun so it is important to only stun abilities you absolutely need to. It is recomended to stun Eruption as much as possible while making sure he won't become immune to stun in phase 3.
